Simply Festive Fall Porch Decorating
Welcome to my Simply Festive Fall Porch! When it comes to fall porches, there is a LOT of amazing inspiration out there. It can be kind of overwhelming and leave you wondering where to start, right? One of the things I hope to do here is give you options and show you how adding simple touches can mean a lot. Here are some ideas to get you started on creating a simply festive fall porch I think you’ll love!
let me show you what I mean…
The wreath on my front door is from last year, I just added a new ribbon. No need to get rid of your summer blooms if they’re still looking good. I’m kind of enjoying all this lush greenery out here!
Mums the word…
Mums are available EVERYWHERE at this time of year! You can find them at your local farm, garden centre or even at the grocery store. They’re available in so many colours, it’s easy to work them into whatever suits your outdoor space or theme. I adore white mums, but also decided on these rich burgandy ones to complement my front door. You can place smaller mums in pots, woven baskets or apple baskets like I did here.
give me all the pumpkins…
Like mums, pumpkins are pretty much everywhere now too. I like to use a variety of colour and size and throw in some faux pumpkins here and there too. I usually bring out the faux pumpkins before the fresh ones are available. Then I just add the fresh ones to the mix. You can never have too many pumpkins, right?!?
Add pillows and throws…
Adding pillows and throws is an easy way to bring a cozy feel to your outdoor space. Just shop your house and borrow your faves from inside!
Signs are fun…
This sign was also from last year, I’ve just used it in a different place. Make your “old” decor new again by using it in a different way or place. Next year I might use it indoors instead!
Add a festive doormat…
My doormat isn’t fall specific, but it does make a sweet welcoming statement. If you’re looking for a new doormat, there are a ton of pretty fall styles out there!
add some glow…
These Sonnenglas mason jar lanterns are the perfect night time addition to my fall porch. To see how I styled them at our family’s summer cottage, click HERE. To create a similar look, fill mason jars with tea lights or LED string lights.
