Fall Decor/Halloween Blog Hop
Hello friends! If you’ve stopped by before then welcome back and if you’ve just come from Janine’s over at Happy Happy Nester, I’m sure you’ve been treated to some beautiful inspiration and I’m so glad you’re here! Welcome to my Fall living room! I’m thrilled to be joining a talented group of 11 bloggers today and I’m excited to share how my Fall decorating is coming along.
If you caught my Fall porch post last week, you’ll know I went with a very neutral palette out there this year. I’m using that same palette in here but adding some touches of muted greys and pinks to warm things up a bit and transition from my summer decor. Milk glass is staple around here and the perfect vessel for blooms, acorns or whatever seasonal decor you are using. And of course you can never have too many white pumpkins!
The mantle is a mix of existing pieces, some items from last year and a few new ones. These neutral wood candle holders go with everything and I usually just start building around them. I purchased the wood cutout recently and think its going to be a very versatile piece, so you might just see it pop up somewhere else soon! I love the colour of the faux pale pink blooms which are also new. They are an inexpensive way to add seasonal colour without committing to something big. Everything else I recycled from past years and that is always a good thing because my seasonal decor is kinda taking over the basement!
I’m loving how my new drapes in the dining room add a softness to this side of the living room.
Over here I added in some simple and easy Fall details like a pumpkin spice candle , a textured throw and this glam pumpkin.
To me Fall is all about getting cozy! It’s definitely the time to bring out the extra pillows and throws. Switching out pillow covers instead of entire pillows is the totally the way to go and an easy way to add in seasonal styles like this Hello Fall pillow. Mix in lots of different textures for added interest and coziness! The fresh blooms on the tray give a richness and just the right amount of colour and pair nicely with the faux blooms in the bowl.
Thanks for stopping by my Fall living room! Check back next week when I’ll be sharing my Fall tablescape. Next stop on the tour is Martha over at Simple Cozy Charm so head on over and see what lovely inspiration Martha has in store for you!
