Decorating For The Holidays: Elegant Home Tour
Today I’m thrilled to be taking part in a Christmas Home Tour hosted by Krista of The Happy Housie. There are 50 bloggers total throughout the week so get ready for some amazing inspiration! Some of you may be joining me from Kim over at Styled With Lace. Kim has such a beautiful home and gorgeous decorating style! My Decorating for the Holidays: Elegant Home Tour is all about my master bedroom and upstairs landing console table.
So before I begin, I need to share that this home tour didn’t turn out as originally expected. I planned on doing blush pink and rose gold in here and the further I got along the more I just wasn’t digging it. Has this ever happened to you? After some deep breaths and a little help from my daughter, I made the decision to remove all of the rose gold and just leave a few hints of blush pink accents. Well, best decision ever!! I’m loving how neutral and elegant it is and it feels much more “me”.
All that remains of the blush pink here are these soft velvety cushions. They make a pretty backdrop for the rest of the white and neutrals throughout the room and a festive holiday pillow adds a touch of whimsy.
Over on the nightstand, these beautiful roses from Landeau steal the show! I’ve paired them with some delicate holiday decor like this mini snow globe and bottle brush tree to keep things elegant and classy.
Let’s have a look at how I styled my dresser for the holidays!
I wanted to keep things very neutral on my dresser. It reminds me of how bright fresh fallen snow is. Here’s another view at night, love how the candlelight and tree lights glow at night!
We recently added an electric fireplace in the bedroom and I love how it’s added so much cozy in here. Plus, gotta love how it’s given me another space to style for the holidays!
I hope you’re enjoying my Decorating for the Holidays: Elegant Home Tour in the master bedroom so far! I love having a cozy spot to curl up in here and this corner got an update for the holidays too!
It’s time to pop out the door to our upstairs landing where I’ve decorated my console table in a similar style.
Some of this decor you may recognize from other places in my home. I actually purchased very few new items to decorate this space for the holidays.
Love how the candlelight and tree lights below in the living room add such a warmth to this area!
Well that wraps up my Decorating for the Holidays: Elegant Home Tour in the master bedroom. For me holiday decor doesn’t mean switching everything up. I like adding in touches of Christmas here and there to my existing decor so it still feels like my home. It’s easy to forget this and go all-in on Christmas. Staying true to your own decorating style is always a good idea and will produce the most naturally beautiful results! To see how I decorated my living room for the holidays check out my Elegant Black and Gold Christmas.
Be sure to pay a visit to the other bloggers on this Christmas Home Tour. Tomorrow, Taryn from Taryn Whiteaker Designs will be sharing her Kitchen Christmas Decor and you don’t want to miss it!
Happy Holidays and happy decorating!

May I ask where you purchases the little garland on the console table and fireplace?
Hello Effie, garlands are from Afloral. I got them last year 🎄
what a lovely home you have- i love your flocked tree and white palette!
Cassie thank you so much! Happy Holidays ❤️🎄
So pretty and elegant. I am sure between the light of the tree and your new fireplace, it really has to be cosy at night. Merry Christmas Judy!
It really is Krista! Thank you for having me on this tour and hope your holidays were lovely! Xx
Beautiful! I love the soft tones. I’ve always wanted a fireplace in our bedroom – so cozy!
It’s added a whole new level of cozy in here, Jenn! Thank you and hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
This is one of the prettiest spaces I have ever seen! The pink, white and neutral are stunning together with the soft greens. And your photography is absolutely beautiful!
