Happy First Day of Fall!! There’s no more resisting pumpkin spice and sweater weather: like it or not, fall is officially here! What better way to welcome the season (and your guests) than a fresh new look for your front door. My fall decor inside is neutral and fresh this year, so I decided to keep it the same outdoors for a nice cohesive look. I’m excited to share my Fall Porch with White Pumpkins and Mums so let’s have a look!
Easiest way to give your front door a new look? Switch out your door mat! This cute fall door mat is from The Naked Pallet and I’m giving away one just like it on my Instagram page so be sure to head over there to enter! I’ve layered it over a larger black mat for a nice contrast. As you can see, my summer petunias are still blooming and they are transitioning perfectly into fall.
I like to use a mix of faux and real pumpkins for my porch. I start with the faux ones early and add in the real when they are available. I find it adds a nice variety of shapes and sizes. I’m especially obsessed with the baby boo mini white pumpkins and love using them indoors too!
This large white mum inspired the whole look of my porch. As it often happens with my seasonal decor, I find something that stands out and really speaks to me and it becomes the focus of my design. Look for colours and textures that speak to you and you’ll find your own inspiration!
What do you think of my Fall Porch with White Pumpkins and Mums so far?
This pillow with white pumpkins seemed like a perfect fit! I like adding pillows and throws out here to give it a cozy feel before it gets too cold and wet and I have to bring everything in.
When it comes to fall porch decorating, you can never have too many mums or pumpkins right?!? These orchard baskets are a great way to display them indoors or out (as long as your porch is covered).
I hope you’ve enjoyed my fall porch tour and it gives you some ideas for your own porch decorating! Soon I’ll be sharing my fall/Thanksgiving tablescape, but in the meantime you can check out my Elegant Thanksgiving Table Using Mixed Metals from last year. Thanks for stopping by today and don’t forget to head over to my Instagram page to win my cute fall doormat!
