Easter In The Kitchen
Welcome to our Easter blog hop! If you’re coming over from Summer Summer Adams I know you’ve been treated to some GORGEOUS blush and blue Easter table inspiration! I’ve been adding touches of Spring around my home here and there (even though the weather outside keeps reminding me it’s clearly still winter) and can’t believe there’s only 2 weeks of school and work left for the kids and me before Spring Break! We’re excited for a family vacay in the sunshine, but always look forward to bringing out the bunnies and celebrating Easter. I decided on something more casual this year and I’m excited to share how pretty my Easter decor in the kitchen turned out!
Since most of my tablescapes are generally in our dining room, I was excited to create something more fun and casual in here. These bunny plates are from HomeSense and featured in my Easter post from last year. Click here for last year’s tablescape. I updated the look by adding a natural woven place mat and lilac side plate (both from IKEA) for a casual spring feel.
It wouldn’t be Easter without bowls of chocolate eggs right? These bunny shaped bowls are perfect for filling with chocolate eggs or your favourite candy.
The Spring themed floral arrangement with subtle pops of yellow is different from my usual pinks and whites, but it contrasts so beautifully with the lilac plates and other elements, I’m really pleased with how it turned out!
Candles are always a must on my table! I added in a few votives in a pretty Spring scent that give the right amount of interest but don’t overwhelm my small table.
Over on the island, I’ve got more treats and blooms. Mini eggs are one of our favorites at this time of year, so I blended them with vanilla ice cream and milk for an easy Easter milkshake. So easy and yummy, it got the big thumbs up from my family! I filled some pretty bowls with more treats and faux eggs and added some tulips here because nothing says Easter or Spring like tulips!
Tiered trays are the perfect place to add bunnies and blooms and other spring goodies in the kitchen. I used this natural coloured table runner to give my black countertops a more neutral feel and the bunny and pom-pom detailing is perfect for the occasion!
On this side of the kitchen, I added a Spring wreath above the window and hyacinth potted in milk glass. Lilac tea towels tie in with the colour scheme on the table, which I also carried over to my coffee station.
I’m so happy you stopped by today, and hope the Easter bunny is good to you! Next stop on the tour is Gloribell Know How She Does It I know Gloribell has a beautiful Easter table to share with you!! Be sure to visit all the bloggers below on the tour today and on Thursday.
