Warm and Elegant Holiday Mantel
It’s my first holiday post of the season and I’m super excited to share a first look at my living room decor and my warm and elegant holiday mantel with you! I’ve been planning this colour palette for a while now (since last Christmas to be exact lol) and after envisioning it for so long, I’m thrilled to finally see it come to life! After decorating with red and white last year, I knew I wanted this year’s Christmas to be rich and warm with tones of green and brown and lots of natural greenery. I hope you love it every bit as much as I do!! I’m joining some blogging friends who are also sharing their holiday mantels today so be sure to visit all the posts via the links below.
I knew I wanted to do some winter themed oversized art above the mantel and I love how this snowy forest with it’s caramel coloured bluffs adds a beautiful warmth in here that matches the glow of the fire.
When decorating with holiday greenery on the mantel, I like to start with a good quality and realistic looking faux garland and then add layers of fresh fir or pine and eucalyptus. This helps achieve the most luxe and low-maintenance look in my opinion that will last all season long. TIP: Use command strip hooks to secure the garland in place without damaging your mantel.
Brass bells and candlesticks add a touch of warm elegance to the mantel.
Is there anything more luxurious than velvet at Christmas?!? It’s my absolute fave and you’ll be seeing more of it in my upcoming holiday posts.
A simple wooden bead garland is such a versatile purchase. It can be used on your mantel, tree or draped on a mirror or window.
Do you remember my classic Christmas mantel from last year? Which one do you prefer? I’m so glad you stopped by today, next week I’ll be sharing the rest of my home decorated for the holidays! Now it’s time to check out the rest of the posts below for even more holiday mantel inspiration.
