Spring Door Decor DIY
Since Spring has officially sprung, I’m excited about decorating the outside of my home for the first time in months! Instead of my usual wreath, I really wanted to do something different on the door this year. A little search on Pinterest, and I knew I loved the look of faux tulips in a galvanized container. This Spring door decor DIY is super easy to create and makes a bold statement on your door! It’s cheerful and colourful and perfectly Spring 🌷
Materials:
- galvanized container
- faux tulip stems (or other spring flower) Enough to stuff your container. I used 9 stems in total
- ribbon
- felt pads (so the galvanized container won’t scratch your door)
Thread your ribbon through the top. You could drill one if your container of choice doesn’t already have one. Also, leave yourself extra ribbon to play with. I ended up adjusting mine once it was up on the door.
Stick the felt pads on the back of the container to protect your pretty door 😊
Stuff your tulips or other faux flowers in the container. You want it to be full. Mine fit nicely on their own, but if necessary, you could use floral foam or a divider to keep the flowers in place. I bought more than I needed and played around to get it just right 👌🏻
Now my front door is dressed to welcome Easter guests. This DIY was super easy and I’m so happy with how it turned out! Also, the flowers can easily be switched up for a different season and a whole new look! Don’t you think peonies, dahlias or roses would be pretty for Summer? Now to tackle the rest of the front porch after Spring break…
Happy Spring!!!
