Since COVID travel restrictions within Canada have recently eased, our family was more than excited about a trip to the beautiful Watermark Beach Resort in sunny Osoyoos! Located in the South Okanagan region of our province of BC, it’s known for it’s hot dry climate, lake life, fruit orchards and my personal fave: wineries and vineyards. Just a little over a 4 hour drive from Vancouver, we couldn’t wait to get the family vacay party started. GIVEAWAY!! You can enter for a chance to win a one-night stay of your own! More details at the end of the post.
*Our visit to Watermark Beach Resort was a gifted stay in exchange for this post. As always, all opinions are my own along with an honest review of our stay.
The Watermark is located right on Osoyoos Lake and has multiple options for accommodation including condo-style suites and beach front townhomes. We stayed in a 2-bedroom beach front townhome and loved the convenience of being able to park right in front and walk straight out to the lake. Our 2-level townhome provided lots of room for everyone and a full kitchen perfect for fixing snacks or eating in. The whole resort is very walkable all within a short stroll on the paved walkway.
Of course we couldn’t wait to get to the lake and pool fast enough to cool off! The refreshing saltwater pool also has a waterslide that was very popular with the younger kiddos. Light meals and drinks can be ordered and enjoyed poolside.
Our first night we enjoyed an amazing dinner at the resort’s restaurant 15 Park Bistro. The menu features local ingredients and tasty offerings by Executive Chef Nick Atkins and a lovely wine selection from the area. We all enjoyed our meal and the beautiful open lakeside setting so much!
The newly redesigned interior includes a stunning bar area serving up fresh and locally inspired cocktails!
15 Park Bistro serves delicious dine in, take out and weekend brunch in a chic casual setting. Beautiful foliage surrounds the restaurant and pool area!
Waking up to this incredible view was a real treat!
Just steps from Osoyoos Lake, The Watermark is a great place to enjoy water sports like kayaking, paddle boarding and boating. We rented a speed boat during our stay and had a fabulous time on the water! The staff at Wakepilot had us on the water quickly and safely for a fun morning of cruising and knee-boarding.
After our time on the water, it was back to the pool and beach to chill!
Brian kept everything at the pool spic and span, giving high-traffic surfaces extra care and attention.
If you’re thinking about visiting the South Okanagan region of BC sometime soon, I highly recommend a stop in Osoyoos and a stay at the Watermark. I’d like to thank them for making our Watermark Beach Resort Family Vacation so incredibly special, we can’t wait to return. Ok, it’s giveaway time!
