Haircare Essentials

Summer seems to take a toll on our hair, doesn’t it? Whether it’s the sun, humidity, salt water or the pool…our locks could all use a bit of TLC right about now! I’ve been using this routine for the past few years and I’ve been super happy with the results.

Now in case you’re wondering… I’ve got thick, naturally wavy, colour treated hair. This routine as a whole keeps my hair smooth and hydrated .You may not need all of these products, just sharing what works for me and giving you some options. You can give all of them a try or just add one or two to your current routine.

Shampoo/Conditioner

This Living Proof Perfect Hair Day shampoo and conditioner really lives up to its name! I love its light scent, it’s weightless feel and a little bit goes a long way so it lasts a long time. If you’re looking for a shampoo/conditioner that won’t weigh down your curls, this is for you!

Leave In Conditioner

I’ve been using this  AG Conditioning Mist for years. It really helps with detangling and its leave-in formula gives my colour-treated hair an extra boost of moisture.

Treatment

I love using this Moroccan Oil Treatment to reduce drying time, tame the frizzies and boost shine. It also happens to smell amazing! I use the light version as it’s recommended for blonde/fine hair.

Most of the time I let my hair air dry, but when I’m wanting a more polished look I like to blow dry it straight and smooth it with a flat iron.  This Living Proof Perfect Hair Day 5-in-1 Styling Treatment is perfect for blow dried styles.

Tools

Ok gals listen up. This brush changed my life!! The Wet Brush  has special bristles designed to go through wet hair, without damaging it.  I know, I know…you’ve always been told to use a wide tooth comb. But when my stylist used this on my hair I was amazed! If your hair takes forever to comb through, you need this brush!! Tip: it’s also great for kid’s hair too 😉

If you give any of these products a try or are already using them, be sure to let me know in the comments below. I’d love to hear how they work for you!

Have a great week!
