I went to my first vintage market this weekend and I’m hooked! So much fun strolling through the grounds of a beautiful local winery while being tempted with all sorts of vintage treasures.
Vendors ranged from vintage finds like milk glass, books, furniture and collectibles to custom items like wooden signs, clocks, jewelry and hand stamped cutlery. Ok…so I may have come home with a few new pieces of milk glass!
Markets are always more fun with friends right!?! Especially when they love home decor as much as you!
Strolling through the stalls reminded me how much I loved farmhouse style when my husband and I had our first apartment. I used to scour garage sales and second-hand stores for milk cans, egg baskets and vintage kitchen decor. Even though my decor style has changed since then, I find myself drawn to incorporating farmhouse and vintage pieces into my home. I love mixing styles and finding new ways to put a modern spin on things.
Live music and food trucks added to the fun, as did the wine tasting and selfie station. Such a great day with amazing company! Hope you get a chance to visit a vintage market or two this summer. I’m already thinking about my next one!
